Message from Mr. Corston and Mr. Ralston:
Hi, we hope you are all doing well in these continuing challenging times.
We were impressed by the care and commitment of our parent/guardian community from September through December. It is so important for everyone’s safety and peace of mind that we continue to work together and follow safety plans both while at school, on school property or away from the school.
Schools in our district have recently been impacted by potential exposure events. It is vital that we all continue to do our part to limit risk. A reminder:
· Regular handwashing will continue throughout the day. Hand sanitizer is also available and students may bring their own if they choose.
· Students from grades 6-8 will be required to wear masks while riding the school bus.
· Students in grades 6 – 8 will be required to wear masks at times when inside the building and away from their cohort (for example: in the hallways they are required, learning commons, not at this time required in their classroom).
· Parents / caregivers are to conduct at home health checks each morning prior to sending their child to school.
· It is very important that students stay home when sick.
· Food will be “pack in – pack out” and students will not be able to share food.
· Students will need a water bottle, fountains are closed but we now have two filtered water bottle filling station.
· Students are asked to label their personal items and not to share them.
· Additional cleaning continues to be provided throughout the day as we now have two daytime custodians.
Thanks in advance for your continued support and cooperation. Should you have any questions or concerns please contact us at the school.
