We are truly impressed by the student engagement in our recent Jump Rope for Heart initiative. Our school raised an incredible $4908.90 to support the Heart and Stroke Foundation! This far exceeded our goal and our staff generously jumped into a lunch time celebratory “pie in the face” competition as a way to show our appreciation for all the great fundraising the kids did throughout the last two weeks. The kids loved it!

On Thursday, June 2nd, the entire school took part in outdoor stations that supported fun and heart health. These stations were led by our fabulous leadership students and their work was truly appreciated. In addition, teacher sponsor support by Mrs. Witzke and Mrs. Prysunka was invaluable in ensuring our Jump Rope for Heart event was a success! Thank you to everyone who donated and supported this cause.

If you know of a kindergarten aged child in the Carlin catchment who might be planning to come to our school next year, please encourage their family to reach out to register.

We are so proud of all 75 participants in this year’s Little Mountain Stomp, our district cross-country running race held on Tuesday, May 3rd. Many brave efforts and lots of smiles. Over 1000 students from all across the district attended and raced.

On Wednesday, April 20th, our staff, students, parent volunteers and special guests cooperated in a special project to plant 63 trees on our property in honour of the memory of Secwepemc children and to celebrate Earth Day 2022. Details of the project are provided in the attached letter.
