  • If you have older students that you drove to school in June, the routine will be the same for drop off and pick up.  That is, parents drive into the lower drop off/pick up area below the school.  Parents can get out and hug their child goodbye while an adult from the school will come down and walk the child up to their teacher and their classmates.  Parents stay at their vehicle.  For pick up, school staff will walk the children back to their parents.
  • Your child’s teacher will be calling you on Tuesday or Wednesday (Sept 8 and 9) to talk with you directly and answer any questions you have and to discuss your child and their needs.  This will be a great chance to connect with your child’s teacher.
  • School supplies will be taken care of and purchased by your teacher.  Information about school fees will come home in the first week or two of school.
  • Proper handwashing will be an important skill for your child to have and extra practice at home would be great.

We look forward to having the kindergarten students joining the Carlin school community and the joy they bring our school.
Please email or call the school if you have other questions for us to answer.  Otherwise, take care and look for a phone call on Tuesday or Wednesday next week from your classroom teacher.

Lastly, if you didn’t fill out the kindergarten survey back in June (or can’t remember if you did, or just want to do it again to ensure information is most up to date) can you go through this link and fill it out?  It will help us with planning the best environment for your child:
